“S.M.A.S.H.!” storyline being developed by “Futurama” and “Spider-man” writers

US animation company 41Entertainment has revealed details of a new “S.M.A.S.H.!” series. The action will take place in a summer camp by a lake in the Bavarian Alps, where superhero parents send their children to learn magical powers.

“We have built a great team of writers to bring the 'S.M.A.S.H!' adventures to life, including Josh Haber (‘My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic’,

Skylanders Academy’, ‘Spider-Man’) and Eric Rogers (‘Skylanders Academy’, ‘Futurama’)”, says Halstead. “Each episode focuses on fun and engaging superhero adventures that require teamwork, problem-solving, and a sense of humor.”

Initially, the concept split the story into two separate series: one following the adventures of little superheroes and the other of their super-powered pets. But over time, it was decided to merge the storylines. Now the children and their four-legged sidekicks do everything together. They rest, train and confront the insidious villain Doc, who dreams of taking over the camp.

With their plan to launch the title globally, 41Entertainment has secured HBO MAX in the U.S. to take first window exclusive SVOD rights and Super RTL in Germany to get content rights for German-speaking Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
