CLS Media have signed a licensing agreement with media group Lagardere to distribute the new animated series "Sonic Boom" within the territory of Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.
"Sonic" – is an iconic world-renowned franchise, which is based on the famous series of video games Sonic the Hedgehog. The series was created by the American division of Sega together with the French animation studio OuiDo! Entertainment. In November 2014 the premiere of the series successfully started on Cartoon Network channel in the US. "Sonic Boom" is broadcasted by "Carousel" TV channel in Russia
The series was created for the audience of 6 to 11 years. "Sonic Boom" will consist of 104 episodes, each to be a separate action-adventure story about Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends.
In 2016 "Sonic" is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To support this landmark event the creators plan to release a new video game that will be a prequel to the mentioned series. There will be a new line of products under the brand "Sonic". In July 2016 the Sonic 25th Anniversary Party, which will bring together a number of fans of the franchise, is going to take place in the United States.
