In his search all over the world to find Jean, Luke finds out that Jean had been stealing relics along with Indiana. But Jean and Indiana were actually trying to lure in Mr. X in order to destroy the Black Elevator with the power of Angkor Wat's 'Seed of Life'. Luke realizes this and joins forces with Jean and Indiana, heavily damaging the Black Elevator, but Indiana falls and is lost in the process. Luke learns from a clue Indiana left behind that Mr. X is hiding inside the Stars Hotel.
